Top Swimming Squad
The swimming squad has a tremendous record, competing regularly against club swimmers throughout the country. We are recognised as one of the top clubs in Britain and have regularly competed in the Speedo League club A final, in which we were National Champions in 2005 and runners up in 2006.
Competing at all levels Millfield Preparatory School regularly turns out winners of National Age group titles, District and County level and has consistently won Top Club at both Somerset and Western district level.
Millfield competes at all levels of competition from National Age groups all the way through to regular local meets. The size of the squad has now more depth and is a formidable force at the IAPS in both the girls and boys tournament.
Outstanding facilities and coaching staff The advantage of swimming at Millfield has to be the wonderful facilities coupled with the amount of water time available, allowing the children to finish at a reasonable time.
The head of junior swimming Helen Gouldby (nee Bewley) is a past Olympian competing in the 1988 Olympics in the 200m Butterfly and has successfully coached at Millfield since 1992.
