Football
Football is taught throughout all year groups as part of the games curriculum. The sport is becoming increasingly popular with both boys and girls at all age groups. Pupils have one lesson a week during the Autumn Term and the senior boys also have a weekly club activity throughout the autumn and spring terms. In the Autumn Term U13 boys play in the National Independent Schools 6-a-side Tournament, U13 & U12 boys plus the U13 girls all play in the Minute Maid National Knockout Tournaments and U11 boys and girls enter 6-a-side Regional Tournaments leading to National Finals. In the Spring Term U13, U12 and U11 boys play local teams after school in leagues and regular fixtures. U10 and U9s also host tournaments in the Spring Term, mostly involving local state schools. The U10 event, started in 2000, has seen nine different winners in nine years. Practice for U13 & U12 is done as a club throughout the Autumn and Spring Term once a week. In Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 football is taught as part of the PE and Games syllabus once a week
