Cross Country
Autumn and Spring
Our season runs over two terms and we have teams in Years 6, 7 and 8, boys and girls. There are regular cross country competitions ranging from Inter-House and Inter-School to County and National level. On average, 6-8 runners represent the County each year at various age levels. In the Autumn term our main competition is the English Schools Cup (which we reguarly reach the final in) but we also enter the Gwent League and Traditional Inter-School fixtures against local State and Preparatory Schools.
Boys and Girls
In the Spring term the main competition is the National Preparatory Schools Championships, Somerset Schools Championships and our own Edgarley Relays. We have regular individual winners in the English School Cup and the team is commonly National Preparatory Schools Champions in both boys and girls. Many pupils represent Somerset in the South West Championships. For years 6 and below, Millfield competes in the local Mendip League.
Beautiful countryside in which to run
The facilities on site include extensive playing fields with countryside alongside giving a variety of training and racing options.
