Green Matters
Millfield Prep School is an Eco-School. We were awarded our first Green Flag in January 2006 and we officially raised the flag on our third Eco day, the following June. Since then we have been inspected every two years and have managed to retain the flag.
Our school is committed to working towards creating a sustainable environment for our pupils to live, work and play in. The Green Council is the hub of our environmental activities with every class having a Green Rep who promotes environmental awareness amongst their class mates and brings their ideas to the council meetings, which are held every half-term.
Each year we draw up an action plan and each term we have a ‘campaign' to focus on some aspect of our plan to achieve our goals.
