Extra-Curricular Activities
Pupils at Millfield Prep have the opportunity to get involved in an extremely wide range of clubs and activities including fencing, pottery, cookery, jewellery making, caring for animals, lacrosse, chess, karate, woodwork, clay pigeon shooting, climbing, caving, scuba diving and art.
Pupils get the chance to adventure out into the natural environment around School and stay out in tents in boys' and girls' Cubs. Clubs give pupils the opportunity to try new activities with their friends and the chance to discover what hobbies they might enjoy and want to pursue, giving them additional variety in their education.
At the beginning of each term they receive a list of activities from which they choose what they would like to get involved in.
A brief summary of some of the clubs available:
- Pottery Club - Try out ideas and learn the basic skills to make presents
- Climbing Wall - Try out skills and gain confidence climbing the School wall
- Trampolining - Junior, Senior and intermediate sessions available
- Dance - Classes available in RAD ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern, Jazz and also Street Dance
- Go-Karting - Try indoor go-carting at Cheddar
- Curtains Up Theatre School - Develop confidence throught the performing arts
- Slalom/Skiing - Join the Avon Junior Slalom Racer training sessions
