First opened in September 2003, Hollies House offers purpose built modern, comfortable and well equipped accommodation for 38 girls.
Hollies aims to provide a relaxed and supportive "home from home" while the girls are at Millfield Preparatory School. The staff and their sense of caring, combined with Hollies' wonderful facilities enable pupils to develop their qualities, fulfil their potential and enjoy every aspect of school life.
The house is run by Elaine and Simon Rawlings who began houseparenting in 2008. Elaine teaches in the Maths Department and is the current Head of Year 7. Elaine also coaches senior girls' netball and rounders. Simon retired from the Army in 2007 after serving twenty three years. As well as coaching junior rugby, Simon runs archery and go-kart clubs. He was also appointed as the Director of Boarding from September 2011.
Elaine and Simon's interests are sport and travel. They have a daughter Emily at the Senior School and she is a keen musician and enjoys sport and riding. Their two rescue dogs complete the family.
