A cast of fifty performed ‘Strange Happenings on the Crimson Buccaneer’ last week to an audience of over 500.
An original play the action concerns poor Admiral Benbow, cursed by a gypsy, loses his daughter and is condemned to be lacking in any real personality. He enlists the help of the daring, darling Captain Angel to track down the ruthless Red Kray and his buccaneers. A sea battle, lost treasure, an angry parrot, flying nuns, a love struck barmaid and an all girl navy crew results in mayhem and laughter.
