Millfield

Year 4 pupils at Millfield Preparatory School have been learning to improve their memory skills by imagining picture stories to remember the order of words. After a few weeks of practice, Anna G (Langport) was able to remember 47 out of 50 random words in the correct order and so she was the MPS winner of the challenge. As a result, Anna was invited to spend the afternoon at Imperial College, London, competing in the national final of The Learning Foundation’s “Memory Challenge.” There were 75 words to try to remember and out of 36 finalists, Anna came second, winning a £25 book token for herself.
