Helping all pupils
Millfield Preparatory prides itself in bring out the best in everyone. With small class sizes and talented, enthusiastic teachers, pupils can be ensured of ongoing support in the classroom. However, there are times when additional support is necessary. At Millfield Prep we have a wide variety of people here to help you with whatever your need. The award-winning library is open throughout the school week and is an invaluable resource for all age groups. ICT is increasingly incorporated in all subjects to enhance learning.
Continuing a proud tradition of helping pupils with learning difficulties
The school has a well-deserved reputation for being non-selective, and accepts pupils with a wide range of abilities, including those with learning difficulties. The Learning Development Centre assists pupils with a variety of learning abilities, including dyslexia. For overseas and bilingual children who need help with English, there is the EAL Department.
Extension and Enrichment - helping able pupils become more able
Able pupils in every sector of school life - academic, sporting, musical, social awareness, drama or art and design - have special requirements and these requirements need to be met. The E & E programme aims to identify and challenge pupils who demonstrate exceptional ability, or the potential to excel, in any area of our curriculum.
