James joins Bristol cycling academy
Congratulations to James who has been selected for the Academy Squad for Bristol Cycling Development Squad. This club has a specific academy for cyclists who have the potential and desire to become future professional cyclists.
James was selected from many candidates to gain one of the places. Part of the selection process involved James presenting his ability on the Newport Velodrome, Road Cycling and Cyclo Cross and proving his capabilities to compete in major National and Regional events. The final piece was a session at Bristol University where James was put through a Watt Bike test which was the final confirmation needed to put him into the programme.
James' training schedule has become very specific and he is now responsible for adhering to training diaries. However, with the help of Mark Brown at Millfield Senior School and Dan Coast, his personal coach from BCDS, he will be well equipped for the season ahead.
