Millfield Prep Staff Support Movember
During November, Millfield Prep teachers joined forces to grow moustaches in support of ‘Movember', an international event that raises awareness and funds for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. In all, 16 gentlemen took part and were sponsored as individuals to raise £1,075. They were supported in their efforts by other members of staff who baked cakes and sold them to colleagues, adding to the total amount donated. According to the pupils at Millfield Prep School, Mr Seyed Edalatpour of the Art Department, won the accolade of ‘Best Moustache'. Mr John Etherington, a teacher in the Learning Development Centre who spearheaded the moustache campaign at the School, commented, "Taking part in Movember and raising money and awareness for this very worthwhile cause has been a great experience for all of us. It was encouraging to have so much support from the pupils and staff at Millfield Prep. I will miss my moustache!."
