Haiti Earthquake Appeal
Millfield Preparatory have raised over £1,400 for the charity World Vision during a busy week of fundraising.
The boarders spent a Sunday morning with Mr Coates busily making cup cakes and day children bought in cakes made at home. Children were asked to bring in donations in exchange for sharing in the cakes. We had an unbelievable amount of cakes and the children were very generous with their money. Later in the week parents and staff contributed through a cake sale.
With this money, World Vision will be able to house at least 26 families in temporary shelters.
What has really pleased us is that our children have been so inspired to ‘dig deep' to help the people of Haiti.
